It’s been such a privilige to work with and document so many of Veronika & Ján’s life experiences and to see them grow as a couple and now a family. It seems like just yesterday we were shooting their wedding. Then last month I had the opportunity to take some maternity images with them as they await their new arrival. I’ll admit I don’t do too many maternity shoots, however I am really loving the images we were able to shoot to capture this special time in their lives.

Elegant and intimate

When it comes to weddings, many couples agree: size matters! Only few people would choose a more intimate celebration of their wedding day. Lenka & Thomas decided to go for a small and intimate wedding, celebrating only with their closest family. The smaller the event, the more time the bride and groom could spend with their loved ones. I am thrilled to share this elegant and intimate Slovakian-British wedding at Hlohovec.

Spring in the old garden

What an absolute joy it was to have Veronika and Filip in front of camera for their couple session! It was an early spring and the abandoned garden was full of blooming trees...

Sunny afternoon in the sandy forest

It was not easy to find a dry and sunny spot during this winter. The sandy forest with pines and solitery trees was a perfect option. For Alexandra and Michal it was much more delightful, thanks to their smart decision to make the photo shooting the day before and fully enjoy a spectacular reception that followed with lots of music and dancing.

Abandoned vineyard

The day we picked for a photo shoot of this couple was one of those rare sunny days in February. I decided to make the most of such nice weather and get outdoors. The abandoned vineyard was difficult to pass through, but it has created a perfect place for this winter maternity session.

Frozen sailors

Andrea and Peter are devoted to sailing so we have decided to take pictures at a small lake with a pier. But the temperatures have dropped down to minus 15 degrees and even walking on frozen lake was quite diffucult. I'll never forget this winter wedding and I'll always admire Andrea and Peter for having the guts to pull an amazing wedding during such frosty weather.

First snow

The first snow once again surprised Bratislava. It was late fall and the air was chilly. I wondered whether Anka and Marek will handle such tough conditions. How did they pull through? Take a look!

Late fall by the river

I had such a great time spending the whole day with Zuzka and Vlado. In a world full of studio maternity sessions, it was fun to do a session outdoors . The banks of the Morava river were coloured in a myriad of autumn colors, creating a magnificent backdrop for our pictures. And when the sun peeked through a rift in the clouds I just couldn’t stop shooting!
